ONE RACE A NIGHT · NO CARD NEEDED

// THE METHOD

Three reads. One number.

The chart lies about horses who never got a fair shake. The tote prices drivers and trainers. We price the horse, then price the trip it's likely to get.

READ 01 · FIGURES

The Tuttle Definitive

A weighted speed rating that leans on the mean, respects the last, and pays for improvement instead of averaging it away. Rising horses get credit before the crowd sees it.

READ 02 · CLAW-BACK

Recover the hidden figure

A horse buried in traffic never earns the number it ran. Claw-Back reads the line, recovers the suppressed figure, and returns an adjusted rating with a confidence score attached.

READ 03 · THE TRIP

Price the seat, not the horse

Every horse gets a win rate for each seat it could take, then a probability of actually getting there. Multiply, sum, and the fair line falls out of the trip instead of the reputation.

// THE LANGUAGE OF THE BOARD

Six words you'll see every night.

Nothing on the board is a black box. If a column is on the screen, it's defined here.

COW%

A horse's share of the total rating in its race. A relative figure share, not a calibrated win probability.

TD

The weighted speed rating. Leans on the mean, respects the last race, and pays for improvement instead of averaging it away.

Claw-Back

The adjustment that recovers a figure the trip suppressed. Ships with a confidence score so you can see how much is inferred.

The Shelf

The cutoff line on the board. Above it is the live group; below it, the model says you're paying for hope.

Seat

Where a horse ends up in the flow — front end, pocket, first over, second over, rail. Each one carries its own win rate.

Drift

Movement between tote flashes. Green means the price is running away from the money; red means it's getting bet.

// FROM THE DESK

The nights worth writing up.

Every week the desk breaks down one race on video — the read before the race, and the honest grade after it.

18-1
SCIOTO DOWNS · R3

Claw-Back finds a $39.40

The raw read had him stepped down and stuck. The adjustment put him back at 88 and flagged an overlay — and the top-COW horse in the same race never fired.

19-1
WOODBINE MOHAWK · R6

Same race, same figure, half the price

Two mares who ran in the same race and earned identical numbers. The crowd priced them off the driver column. One paid 19-1.

MISS
NORTHFIELD · R7

When the seat read is wrong

The board buried a 1-9 shot below the shelf on a deep-swoop assumption. Here's the exact failure and what changed in the model after it.

// WHY THIS IS DIFFERENT

A price, not a pick.

ToteBreak.App

  • Every horse in the field gets a number, not just the one being sold
  • The number is set before the break, so the tote can't talk you into it
  • The misses stay on the record with the reason they missed
  • The formula is written down and doesn't change because we lost last night

The tout down the road

  • One horse per race, no price attached, no way to tell value from opinion
  • Results counted from the wins, quietly, after the fact
  • A free tier that exists to sell the premium tier
  • You're buying a relationship with the handicapper, not an edge on the pool
// TONIGHT

The card is already priced.
